There is lots going on.

Good afternoon. I have a moment to do some blogging.
My last and too long ago post mentioned that I was not looking forward to winter. Well I am pleased to post that we still don't have snow on the ground and it really hasn't been too bad. Most days have been sunny and the temperature above freezing. I can get used to this. Although there isn't lovely flowers blooming or even grass growing. SO I guess the ground could be covered in snow.
We had a wicked wind storm the other night. I had a big chunk of my fence blow over and I can now see out to the alley. Luckily Moxie the dog doesn't run off and look for ways to escape the yard. She does her business rather quickly these days because of the cool weather. I did get the fence stood back up and now is held up by some string. Doesn't look great but will have to get me by until I can get someone to fix it for me. Winter is not a good time for doing fence work, the ground gets pretty frozen hard.
So my son is heading back home for awhile. He blew out his knee and has to come back home to Canada to have it fixed. He is happy for the break and can't wait to cross the border to have some Tim Horton's coffee. I saw an ad on TV the other night for the Swiss Chalet "Festive Special" and that too will be on our "To Do" list. The things you miss when you are away??!! I am looking forward to having him around for awhile. He is hoping it doesn't take the year ,that we have been warned about, to get his knee looked at, MRI, and what ever surgery might be needed. And then there will be rehab. So we pray for a miracle of a quick turn through the health card system. But for now I will enjoy having him here. He will arrive in the beginning of December. One of his friends is flying down and will drive back with him.
YEAH!
I am off to a staff meeting at work...........
